The disruptions began at 8am when a train had to stop to avoid hitting the animal. All main line services have been cancelled until at least 10.30am, including Intercity trains from Hollands Spoor station to Breda and Sprinter trains between The Hague and Dordrecht. The setback happened just as services between The Hague and Utrecht resumed following work to repair a broken overhead power line. The stranded train had to be led away before the power lines could be fixed.
