Albion Women were held to a draw by Portsmouth in an entertaining 60-minute pre-season test on Sunday afternoon. Charlie Fripp’s side were rocked back by a visiting strike within two minutes of kick-off, but fought back through an own goal and Jess Collyer’s first goal in navy-blue-and-white. The hosts continued to push for further opportunities, though Pompey levelled the game with a free-kick just 10 minutes from time. Albion have one final test before beginning their FAWNL Northern Premier campaign, and host Wolves in a behind closed doors friendly on Thursday.
