So I'm all about women, little girls deserving to play, and that includes trans women. Support for trans athletes from within the WNBABut within the WNBA world, Nakase does not stand alone in her support of transgender athletes. And in 2025, the NCAA enacted a policy that bars transgender women from women's competition. The International Olympic Committee and U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Committee have also banned transgender women from the women's category.
