That's the message from Senedd members Mark Hooper and Kiera Marshall, who recently visited the CAVDAS (Cardiff and Vale Drug and Alcohol Service) site on Holton Road in Barry. During the visit, the pair heard first-hand about the services provided, and discussed substance use prevention, the importance of local support, and the challenges posed by current funding and legislation. CAVDAS provides drug and alcohol treatment and support for adults and young people across Cardiff and the Vale. Kiera Marshall MS, who represents Caerdydd Penarth, said:Ms Marshall said: "The work CAVDAS do to support people all over Cardiff and the Vale is incredible. "Hearing directly from those providing support gave me an opportunity to learn more about the issues they face and the conversations that need to be had.
