Touch-A-Truck Creates Family FunCHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – Families had the chance to climb aboard emergency vehicles and meet the people behind the wheel during the International Towing & Recovery Museum’s annual Touch-A-Truck event on Saturday. The free, family-friendly event brought together firefighters, law enforcement officers, EMS crews and members of the towing industry, giving children an up-close look at the vehicles used to respond to emergencies throughout the community. Visitors were able to explore the equipment, ask questions and learn more about the jobs these first responders and towing professionals perform every day. In addition to the emergency vehicles, the event featured face painting, games, a water bounce house, Lil’ Mater golf cart rides and food from the Chilly Bones food truck, giving families plenty to enjoy throughout the day. The event is designed to create a fun, hands-on experience while helping children and families connect with the people and equipment that help keep the community safe.
