National Train Show Rolls into TownCHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – Train enthusiasts from around the world rolled into Chattanooga this weekend for the National Train Show, bringing together hobbyists, families and industry members to celebrate the craft of model railroading. Hosted by the National Model Railroad Association at the Chattanooga Convention Center, the two-day event featured operating layouts, vendors, demonstrations and hands-on activities for visitors of all ages. They’re big machines they move they’re fascinating and so I got my first train set and that’s almost 60 years ago and I have been in it ever since I think the big thing is compared to other hobbies or something you build something you’re doing something with your hands,” said Clark Kooning, National Train Show staff. Beyond the intricate displays, the National Train Show offered activities designed to introduce families and children to the hobby, including miniature building projects and interactive exhibits. The National Train Show brought together generations of model railroaders, showing how a hobby built around miniature trains continues to create connections across the world.
