Peninsula recruits uranium veteran to drive Wyoming production growth

Peninsula Energy has strengthened its technical leadership by appointing former Heathgate Resources chief operating officer Gary Birch as chief technical officer and establishing a new technical committee to support the ramp-up of its Lance uranium project in Wyoming, USA.
Peninsula Energy has appointed seasoned uranium executive Mr Gary Birch as the company’s chief technical officer.
He most recently served as Heathgate’s chief operating officer, overseeing operations, maintenance, engineering, information technology and projects.
He will join Peninsula on September 28 and work alongside a newly formed technical committee chaired by non-executive director Keith Bowes.
The newly established committee has been set up to provide additional technical oversight across the Lance project, focusing on wellfield performance, mine planning, process optimisation and operational improvement initiatives.
