Thousands of people have been left without power in Somerset and across the West as Storm Amy brought down electricity cables and affected substations.
West Somerset has been the worst affected, with more than a thousand homes left without power in a wide area around Porlock.
Another 671 homes have been left without power on the Somerset Levels with a power cut affecting TA3, TA10 and TA19 postcodes, in an area south of Curry Rivel, stretching from Isle Brewers and Hambridge to Barrington and Puckington.
A spokesperson for National Grid said: "We're working to restore power to your area.
We became aware of this power cut at 9:06am this morning and immediately began work to restore your supply.
