The convictA Bekwai Circuit Court has sentenced a 38-year-old farmer, David Donkor, to 10 years’ imprisonment with hard labour after finding him guilty of defiling his 13-year-old stepdaughter. According to the prosecution, the offence occurred in December 2024 at Afoako, near Bekwai, where the convict unlawfully had sexual intercourse with the 13-year-old victim, who is his stepdaughter. Prosecutors told the court that the convict fled the community after he was confronted, forcing police to launch a manhunt. The victim was subsequently taken for medical examination, and the medical report formed part of the prosecution’s evidence. After hearing the case, the court found Donkor guilty and sentenced him to 10 years’ imprisonment in hard labour.
