The life of Giorgio Armani (1934-2025) is headed for a television series.
Italian production company Lux Vide announced on Thursday that production has begun, nearly eleven months after his passing.
The openly gay director became known for films such as “Hamam — The Turkish Bath” and “Männer al dente,” and he will also co-write the series’ script.
The Director Who Knew Armani Personally“I have known Giorgio for many years, admired him, and spent time with him, at official events and in more private settings,” Ozpetek told Variety.
They spoke about cinema, which Armani loved, as well as art, costumes, architecture “and, I would say, about life itself.”
