A groundbreaking study has found psilocybin therapy can lead to sustained improvements in anorexia symptoms and recovery motivation for up to a year. The study involved 21 females diagnosed with anorexia nervosa who received psilocybin therapy over six weeks alongside extensive psychological support. The anorexia research also sparked Douglass’s interest in the links between eating disorders and menstrual cycle-related conditions.
