Meta Platforms has reportedly reduced the amount of IT work it outsources to Wipro Ltd by at least 25% following an artificial intelligence-driven restructuring that resulted in the closure of its digital marketing division. The move reflects Meta’s broader strategy of using AI to streamline operations while reducing reliance on external service providers. The decline follows Meta’s decision to discontinue outsourcing digital marketing operations, which had been a significant part of Wipro’s engagement with the technology giant. Despite the reduction, Meta remains one of Wipro’s largest customers, ranking among the Indian IT services company's top 20 accounts. Concentrix Corporation, Teleperformance SE, and Accenture Plc reportedly experienced a reduction in business after Meta scaled back its outsourced digital marketing activities.
