Bhubaneswar: Rituals at Lord Lingaraj Temple in Bhubaneswar were disrupted on the first Monday of the holy month of Shravan, leaving thousands of devotees disappointed. ADVERTISEMENTThough Badu sevaks reached the shrine in the morning and performed their designated rituals, the Pujapanda sevayats remained absent. As a result, the morning rituals could not be performed at the temple, sources said. It may be noted that the first Monday of the holy month of Shravan is considered highly auspicious for Lord Shiva worship. It is believed that devotees who perform jalabhishek at Shiva temples on Shravan Mondays are blessed with good luck, health, happiness and prosperity.
