Thames Unfiltered is a six-part series produced by The Standard in association with Thames Water and launched on July 28. It follows the river from its source to the sea, exploring its history, current challenges and future prospects. The series is hosted by journalist Lucy Tobin and features a range of voices, including environmental experts, Thames Water staff, and critics of the water industry. She described the podcast as both a story of recovery and a warning for the future. Ms Tobin said: "Thames Unfiltered is the story of a river brought back to life after being declared biologically dead in 1957, but also a wake-up call about how seriously pollution and climate change are threatening the Thames’ future."
