Sam Baldwin, from Carterton in West Oxfordshire, was paralysed from the waist down following a motorbike accident in March 2025 that left him with multiple spinal fractures. Despite his injuries, the 28-year-old completed the climb in a nine-hour challenge to raise funds for Spinal Research. He broke seven vertebrae in his back and neck, fractured multiple ribs, both shoulders, smashed his elbow and punctured a lung. Mr Baldwin was originally due to climb Snowdon just one week after his accident. "Which is why every pound raised matters so much and why we are so grateful to Sam for supporting Spinal Research."
