Felix Gascon, who works at Hempton Field in Chinnor, won the title in the Barchester Care Awards 2026 and will now compete in the national finals later this year. He will join winners from across the UK at a special awards event in October to discover if he has won a national award. Tyisa Houghton, general manager at Hempton Field, praised Mr Gascon's dedication. Hempton Field is part of Barchester Healthcare, one of the UK’s largest care providers. The Barchester Care Awards received almost 6,000 nominations this year, with categories including Carer of the Year, Dementia Care Champion, and Activities Coordinator of the Year.
