Team Nigeria finished seventh on the final medal standings at the 2026 Commonwealth Games, DAILY POST reports. The West Africans competed in 10 sports, and won 10 gold, seven silver, and seven bronze medals. Esther Nworgu gave Nigeria its first gold medal with a commanding performance in the women’s lightweight para powerlifting event. Australia finished top of the standings with 65 gold, 41 silver, and 52 bronze medals. England came second with a medal haul of 26 gold, 41 silver, and 35 bronze, while Canada finished third with 18 gold, 20 silver, and 21 bronze medals.
