PXP ENERGY Corp. is seeking investors and foreign partners to help fund petroleum exploration after securing new service contracts (SCs), its chairman said. “We have to raise money for PXP for the various service contracts,” PXP Chairman Manuel V. Pangilinan told reporters last week. “We’ve invited the Chinese to join us and invest in service contracts in the Philippines into a farm-in,” he said. In April, PXP and its consortium partners secured a new service contract allowing them to continue production and exploration at the Cadlao Oil Field. The consortium also secured SC 88, which gives it the right to continue oil production at the Galoc Oil Field in northwest Palawan.
