WA Police are responding to reports of a serious crash in the state’s north. A police spokesperson said several people sustained critical injuries when two vehicles collided on the North West Coastal Highway in Hamelin Pool, near Shark Bay. A St John WA spokesperson said ambulances were called at 11.34am, and five vehicles were sent to the scene. Royal Flying Doctor Service has confirmed it is transporting one child to Royal Perth Hospital. “Our clinical crews will be assessing three more potential patients when they arrive on site,” an RFDS spokesperson said.
