PETALING JAYA : A group representing the residents of Kampung Kuala Sungai Baru has again called on the Selangor government to provide an update on the independent report regarding the Putra Heights gas line blaze that occurred in April last year. The residents’ association had urged the state government to clarify the status of the independent report in early May. The Putra Heights explosion on April 1 last year destroyed 87 houses and damaged 148 others. Last October, 36 Putra Heights residents filed a civil suit over the explosion at the Shah Alam High Court against five parties, including the Subang Jaya City Council and Petronas Gas.
