GEORGE TOWN : Pakatan Harapan will continue governing Penang as usual despite the success of the Barisan Nasional-Perikatan Nasional Malay-Muslim unity campaign in Negeri Sembilan, says Chow Kon Yeow. The Penang PH chairman said the coalition’s state chapter would remain focused on development, welfare and serving all communities instead of adopting its rivals’ race-based approach. BN and PN won 25 of the 36 seats in Saturday’s Negeri Sembilan election, with BN claiming 18 seats and PN seven. However, he acknowledged that PH’s other component parties did not perform well in Negeri Sembilan and said their results would be discussed. Penang PH will meet on Aug 8 to review its election preparations and Umno’s position in the state government.
