Local news, sports, weather presented by the WDIO News TeamAt around 3:30PM on Sunday, multiple fire departments, along with the St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office and St. Louis County Rescue Squad, responded to the report of a grass fire in Gnesen Township. According to the St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office, the fire was discovered in the area of the 7500 block of Vermilion Trail and was contained to an area approximately 200 yards west of the trail. No injuries were reported and no structures were damaged due to the fire. The cause of the fire is being investigated by the St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office.
