Emmanuel Latte Lath has joined Union Berlin on a season-long loan from Major League Soccer side Atlanta United. Latte Lath came through Italian side Atalanta's academy before enjoying a breakthrough campaign with Swiss club St. Gallen in 2022/23, scoring 14 league goals and providing four assists in 31 appearances. "Emmanuel has worked his way up step by step and proven his quality in different countries," said Union sporting director Horst Heldt. For his part, Latte Lath is relishing the opportunity to test himself in the Bundesliga. Latte Lath could make his Bundesliga debut on 29 August when Union kick off their eighth consecutive top-flight season at home to Eintracht Frankfurt.
