Michihito Fujii‘s 18×2 Beyond Youthful Days refuses to become another sad love story. The perfume he smells, called “Flow of Time,” is worn by his first love, Ami (Kaya Kiyohara). It takes him back to his youthful days, and the two timelines begin: the present and the past. A young tourist reminds him of the film “Love Letter” Ami and he watched together. The scent is what connects Jimmy’s past to his present as a bridge, carrying him through life.
