The numbers that produced itGamcheon drew roughly 3.12 million visitors in 2025, up from about 2.87 million in 2024 and 2.76 million the year before. Gamcheon sits between two hills with limited road access, and on weekends and holidays the approach roads jam. Mixed residential and commercial areas get etiquette guidance and environmental cleanup rather than access limits. Whether guidance without penalty changes behaviour at three million visitors a year is the question the next twelve months will answer. Saha-gu is also developing 천마마을 (Cheonma Village), across the road, as a second destination to spread visitors out.
