The 2nd Annual Racine County Foster Care Community Carnival and Together We SCAN Walk will take place Saturday, Aug. 15, at Grace Church, 3626 Highway 31 in Racine. The event is a collaboration between Racine County Human Services Foster Care, Grace Church and BeLEAF Survivors Inc. Its goal is to connect families with community resources, raise awareness about child abuse prevention and highlight the ongoing need for foster parents in Racine County. Walk registration begins at 11:30 a.m., followed by the free community carnival from noon to 3 p.m. Racine County continues to need safe, stable and loving homes for children in foster care. The event is open to families from Racine County and surrounding communities.
