Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear has taken aim at Republicans over their response to Senator Mitch McConnell’s prolonged absence, accusing them of ignoring questions about the senator’s health and future. The Kentucky Republican’s office said he remains in a rehabilitation facility undergoing physical therapy and has not yet been medically cleared to leave. Beshear also missed the event and addressed criticism aimed at him, saying Republicans had focused on his absence while ignoring questions surrounding McConnell.
