Earlier in the day, Antrim secured the All-Ireland Junior title, beating Carlow in a closely-fought affair that went down to the last score, with Maria O’Neill snatching the win for the Saffrons.
Maria O’Neill was the hero of the day for the Saffrons, scoring a point in the dying seconds under pressure from four Carlow players to bring the junior title to Antrim for the first time since 2022.
Carlow put up a brilliant fight, led by the dead ball accuracy from Clíodhna Ní Shé, who scored six points for the Barrowsiders.
