Roscommon Ladies Footballers, including captain Helena Cummins (centre) celebrate after their side's victory over Fermanagh in the LGFA TG4 All-Ireland Intermediate Championship Final. Almost exactly three months after being hammered by a barely believable 22 points in the Connacht Intermediate decider Roscommon had recovered to become All-Ireland Intermediate Ladies Football champions. Indeed, had the second half followed the scoring pattern of the first then the Rossies would have won by that same huge margin. The second half was largely a non-event, although Roscommon sub Lauren Shanagher livened matters up somewhat. So Fermanagh head into a third consecutive season at Intermediate level, while Roscommon are elevated to the senior stage.
