High winds fuelled flames, growing what started as a small grass fire Friday night on the OKIB reserve into a monster that forced the complete evacuation of the community by Saturday evening. Additional wildfires sparked Saturday to the south of the major blaze, one near Bear Creek Provincial Park and one south of La Casa.
