GMs keep in contact with agents to probe interest, because (as Twins fans know) teams can still call about guys with NTCs. Falvey mentioned that sometimes players would learn they were being traded before he had a chance to inform them. Once again, Falvey brought up the cadence point and referred to the playbook that front offices build around rival teams.
