Construction on the Interstate 70 Exit 203 project in Frisco is entering its second phase this week, with crews shifting traffic onto a newly built section of the underpass bridge and beginning additional interchange improvements.
The traffic switch will allow crews to begin building the east side of the underpass bridge while maintaining access through the area.
Phase two work will also include widening the eastbound I-70 on- and off-ramps on the north side of the interchange.
Drivers should expect shoulder closures on both sides of the Exit 203 bridge to remain in place until bridge widening work is complete.
The second phase builds on work already completed this year, including construction of the underpass bridge foundations, girders, deck and retaining walls.
