Wellington Police investigating a crash from April are appealing for information from the public to assist our enquiries. Police have received a report of an historic crash, involving a vehicle and a mobility scooter, at a pedestrian crossing at the intersection of Dixon and Taranaki Streets, on Saturday 25 April (ANZAC Day) just before midnight. The mobility scooter rider received some injuries and was tended to by members of the public, and the mobility scooter was damaged beyond repair. Police have made a number of enquiries, however at this stage have been unable to locate the vehicle involved, or the driver. Police would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the collision or had been present at the scene and may have more information, particularly about the vehicle involved or its driver.
