The Christian County Colonels football team went into their Friday evening matchup with South Pittsburg looking for their second straight win. South Pittsburg came out absolutely on fire, as they were able to block a punt by the Colonels and turn it into an easy rushing touchdown. The lone Colonel touchdown came from a tush push that quarterback Tom Johnson into the end zone for his first rushing touchdown of the year. But that was nowhere near enough, as South Pittsburg absolutely poured it on and got the win with a score of 69-8. The Colonels will be looking to bounce back in a big way in their next game on Friday, October 10, against the Henderson County Colonels.
