Tehran – Iran’s Fars News Agency on Saturday released satellite images it claimed show extensive damage to Saudi Aramco’s Jazan refinery following a Houthi attack launched from Yemen last week. According to Fars, the images depict the “complete destruction” of three oil tanks and severe damage to two others. The agency said the strikes were part of operations announced by Yemen’s Houthi movement against Aramco facilities in Jazan and Yanbu, carried out in response to Saudi air raids on Hodeidah city, its port, and Kamaran Island. The Houthis recently declared a naval blockade on Saudi vessels, describing it as retaliation for what they call a Saudi‑imposed blockade on Yemen for more than twelve years. Saudi Arabia, however, strongly rejected the claims, stressing that ports in Hodeidah remain open to maritime traffic.
