Former National Council director for China to deliver insights on past, present, futureMatthew Turpin, former U.S. National Council director for China, will discuss the past, present and future of U.S. policy regarding China. The event, U.S.-China Policy: How We Got Here and Where We’re Headed, will take place on Wednesday, Sept. 24, at 7 p.m. in the Anita Tuvin Schlechter (ATS) Auditorium, 360 West Louther St. This in-person lecture is free and open to the public and will also be livestreamed and available via a link on the Clarke Forum's website. Turpin will give insights on the policy debates that have shaped recent administrations’ policies and the decisions current policymakers are facing. Turpin is a visiting fellow at the Hoover Institution, and his work focuses on U.S. policy toward the People’s Republic of China.
