Confirming the deaths, the Indian Embassy in Italy wrote on X: “The Embassy conveys its heartfelt and sincere condolences for the tragic loss of two Indian nationals from Nagpur in an accident near Grosseto.”The Indian Embassy said it is assisting the family members. Javed Akhtar and Nadira Gulshan, along with the minibus driver, reportedly died in the mishap on the spot. The couple’s daughters Arzoo Akhtar, 21, and Shifa Akhtar, and son Jazel Akhtar, were injured in the mishap.
