Danhausen’s pre-match “curse” on Morgan at Night of Champions has also become a recurring subplot, feeding into his separate Night 2 match with Dominik Mysterio. The animosity boiled over when Aldis cost Gunther and Sami Zayn a shot at the SummerSlam title match at Saturday Night’s Main Event in Madison Square Garden, hitting Gunther with the title belt in the process.
