The Met Office has confirmed a new UK and England June daily temperature record of 38°C, higher than the 37.7°C figure previously reported. These include the highest daily maximum temperature in Wales of 35.1°C, in Hawarden, Flintshire, on 26 June 2026. The highest daily maximum temperature in Northern Ireland was 30.8°C, at Castlederg, County Tyrone, on 25 June 2026.
