New Delhi: In a bizarre breach of courtroom decorum, a man identified as Mohammed Imran barged into a video-conference hearing while wearing only his undergarments, smoking a cigarette and drinking alcohol, according to media reports.
The virtual intrusion occurred during proceedings at the Tis Hazari Court, where Imran repeatedly joined using a pseudonym and ignored admonitions to leave.
When arrested, Imran told police that he had learned of the WebEx platform from an acquaintance and had joined out of curiosity.
He admitted that during the virtual sessions on September 16 and 17, he had appeared in his undergarments, smoked cigarettes, and consumed alcohol.
At the time of his arrest, police recovered a mobile phone, a SIM card, and a router which Imran allegedly used to carry out these disruptions.
