An anti-drunk driving blitz led by women traffic officers has resulted in the arrest of 19 suspected drunk drivers in Maletswai. The initiative began with daytime road safety education on Saturday, before transitioning into a zero-tolerance law enforcement operation overnight. Eastern Cape Transport MEC, Xolile Nqatha, commended the officers for their professionalism, dedication, and strict approach to keeping local roads safe. "The women of the Eastern Cape Department of Transport have sent a powerful message that road safety knows no gender. Similar all-women law enforcement operations and road safety campaigns are scheduled to roll out across all regions of the Eastern Cape throughout the rest of August.
