Suffolk County Council, which is responsible for the highway network in the county, said that details on road improvements are "essential" as Bloor Homes announced the proposed new Foxhall Road development this week.
Residents from Kesgrave and Martlesham received leaflets from the developer which said that plans for the new homes on Foxhall Road were in the 'early stages'.
John O'Brien, a resident of Kesgrave said: "Yes [it will cause issues in the area] - it is already difficult to access the Main Road in Kesgrave as it is and Foxhall Road is also difficult to access from Bell Lane, Dobbs Lane, Ropes Drive and this will only make matters worse.
