The Vyne, in Vyne Road, Sherborne Saint John, a popular National Trust property, has decided to close. A Facebook post from the property said: "Due to high winds forecast, The Vyne will be closed on Saturday 4 October for everyone's safety. Much of the Storm Amy disruption, apart from wind, has hit northern parts of the country, as well as Scotland and Northern Ireland. Further yellow warnings for rain are in place in north and west Scotland until midnight and in Northern Ireland until noon. National Rail warned of possible disruptions throughout the UK on Saturday.
