The Brickley Lane Play Area in Devizes has been closed for over a year after equipment at the facility fell into an unsafe condition. These concerns grew when for sale signs were installed at the garage court bordering the playpark, sparking rumours the park could be sold by Devizes Town Council. Following rumours that the for sale signs related to the park, the town council has released a statement clarifying it has no plans to sell the land. Devizes Town Council has no plans to dispose of this land. Mr Williams added: “The council is acutely aware that the Brickley Lane Play Area has been closed for an extensive period due to the unsafe condition of the play equipment.
