- Following a tough two-point loss to Huron last week, the Spearfish Spartans bounced back on Friday by beating Watertown, 23-12.
The Spartans opened the scoring in the second quarter with a 72-yard touchdown run by quarterback Thomas Hughes.
But after that, Spearfish outscored Watertown 16-6 to secure the win.
Spearfish will take on the Douglas Patriots on Oct. 10 in Box Elder.
