(WISH Photo)INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Indianapolis police are investigating after a person was hit and killed by a vehicle near a busy intersection on the city’s far east side. Just after 6 a.m. Saturday, Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department offers responded to a report of a pedestrian struck near the Motel 6 on Shadeland Avenue, just south of 38th Street. Officers arrived and found one person, identified by IMPD as a male, injured in the roadway. The driver of the vehicle involved in the accident stayed at the scene and was cooperating with investigators, IMPD says.
