This Maserati A6GCS re-creation is said to have been constructed in the 1980s by Argentinian builder and former driver Nestor Salerno and features a custom steel-tube frame wrapped in aluminum and fiberglass coachwork replicating that of a Fantuzzi-styled monofaro formula race car. Additional features include four-wheel disc brakes, 15” wire wheels, coilover shock absorbers, an aluminum fuel tank, an electric cooling fan, and removable cycle-style fenders. The A6GCS 2.0-liter sports racer was introduced in 1947 after being designed by Maserati lead technical engineer Alberto Massimino and Ernesto Maserati just prior to the Maserati brothers’ departure from the company. Features include removable cycle-style fenders, an aluminum grille, a louvered hood panel, low-profile plexiglass windscreens, a Monza-style fuel filler cap, taillights, and a vented tail panel. Additional features include red latch-and-link lap belts, a polished shift knob, and aluminum pedals.
