Union Home Minister Amit Shah inaugurated the Rs 350 crore Sabar Dairy Plant in Rohtak, Haryana.
Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Amit Shah on Friday (October 3, 2025) inaugurated the Sabar Dairy Plant in Rohtak, Haryana, calling it a major step towards strengthening India’s dairy sector and empowering farmers.
Shah said the facility will benefit milk producers not only in Haryana but also in Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, and Bihar.
The Rohtak plant is expected to produce 150 metric tonnes of curd, 10 metric tonnes of yogurt, 3 lakh litres of buttermilk, and 10,000 kilograms of sweets daily.
He added that India is also aiming for self-reliance in dairy plant construction, with efforts underway to accelerate dairy plant development and related research and development threefold.
