The Ondo State Police Command has arrested ten suspects following a violent attack on Igoba community in Akure North Local Government Area, where hoodlums allegedly attempted to assassinate the traditional ruler, Oba Adinlewa John. “They attempted to assassinate His Royal Highness, Oba Adinlewa John, but the royal father narrowly escaped the life-threatening assault,” the police said. The operation led to the arrest of ten suspects who, according to the police, have confessed to their roles in the attack. The police said the injured victim is receiving treatment and responding well, while efforts are ongoing to apprehend other fleeing suspects. CP Lawal reiterated the command’s commitment to protecting lives and property, warning criminal elements to steer clear of Ondo State or face the full weight of the law.
