FROM SAMSON ALFA, MINNAGroup headed by a retired Assistant Controller General of Customs,Ahmed Nasir is to sponsor 41 women and youths including 88 children of Mokwa flood victims in Niger State. The retired controller-general, who is the chairman of a group known as Mokwa Flood Relief Support stated this at Kpege Primary School Mokwa while distributing cheques and school materials to families of the flood disaster on Thursday. The group distributed cheques to school proprietors to sponsor 88 children. In his remarks, the Ndalele of Mokwa, Alhaji Muhammadu Aliyu, expressed delight with the unwavering support from indigenes of Mokwa, saying the support would go a long way in uplifting the livelihood of flood victims. Responding on behalf of the school proprietors, the Principal of Hakimi Aliyu Secondary School Mokwa, Suleiman Jibrin, urged for the sustenance of the sponsorship and promised to justify the confidence reposed on them.
